Disorder - at Morrow, creative space by Odd Meridian Art
disorder explores the duality that conceptions of order play in the lives of Cai Glover and Pierre-Olivier Beaulac-Bouchard and the roles they have been ordered into by way of their experiences with their respective identification with being d/Deaf.
Cai is caught in a sound mind with a hearing aid that lends a human sweetness to the cacophony of life, and a cochlear implant that provides an adequate amount of stimuli reflecting the world we live in. Pierre-Olivier is caught in a family web that demands a condition of normalcy from an artist that refuses to be communicatively and expressively stifled.
The show is set to music that allows us to immerse ourselves in the experience of what it's like to hear through Cai and P-O's ears; through a sound experience that follows the limits of their audiological tests. The gestural manifestation of these two different experiences of disorder are realized in a contemporary assortment of symbols and of personality looking to establish order and then disorder.

I know you are but what am I?
AT MAINLINE THEATRE
In “I Know You Are But What Am I?” we witness the disorienting experience of an individual becoming confronted by the disabling allowances of his world after losing his hearing. This story reminds us that the force and the construction of one’s identity are not just the result of a putting in place of scaffolding that is built from within, but rather from being in relation with those around us and in particular with those we love.

3 frames of worry
AT FESTIVAL QUARTIERS DANSES
3 Frames of Worry is a creation that was generatively built from the collective preoccupations of the working artists involved. We began the process with a phrase of movement -putting the body in motion- and expanded our embodied experience into words and dialogue. Our discussion arose from our dance which in turn sparked more dance and then more discussions. We arrived in three frames. All of them, full of worry.
